Data centralization
Lots and lots of data are being filed on desktop computers, notebooks or a server. This method has many disadvantages: some files cannot be found or are filed in different locations. This is what ICT people call ‘decentralization’. Fortunately, databases offer a good alternative for this problem. Your data are filed in one location and are accessible through your local network (LAN). With the right protection settings, your database can even be accessed from home and it becomes the 'heart' of your company.

A database not only saves you lots of disk space, but also allows you and your colleages to access the same data simultaneously. Advanced techniques like 'database locking' make sure that your data stay consistent at all times.

Access control
In a multi-user environment, you can give and deny each user his own rights. E.g.: you can allow your customers to see their purchases online, while you, of course, have full access to all the data.

Back-up

We can make weekly, daily of even more backups of your data. If you would like to take this to the next level, you could link this backup to a network attached storage device (Thecus) . That way, if you have a hard disk crash, you hardly have any data loss.
